How long have you been doing this? Over 7 years!
What made you become a dev/artist?
Aside from the usual “games are awesome!” that motivates many developers, I also used to mess with game mods when I was little, and that inspired me to try making my own games from scratch.
Favourite software/tools to use? Unity, Adobe Animate, Excel!
What’s one tip you would give to someone starting out?
I find most developers starting off tend to be far too ambitious with whatever personal projects they start on, so my suggestion for working on new ideas is to cut it down to 1/5 of what you’d like to include, then assume it will take 5x longer than you think it will. Even with this, you might still end up overambitious and not finishing your project, but I think you can at least give yourself a chance here. Plus, hopefully you’ll learn something from the experience regardless, and I think that’s always a good thing!
What project are you working on now?
A 2D turn-based strategy game similar to the Fire Emblem games from the 2000s. I’d really like to focus on the “strategy” in “strategy RPG” while keeping all the flavour of a fantasy setting, a diverse cast, and over-the-top animations!

Favourite game ever & why?
Tough question, but probably The World Ends With You! It really helped me broaden my perspective about life and inspired me in a way few games ever have, on top of being extremely fun to play and having really unique presentation. You can imagine how happy I was when it finally got a sequel over a decade after the original release!
I’m a big fan of RPGs from the 2000s, so if you are too, feel free to give me a follow! Of course, it’s not like I’ve played them all, but it’s fun hearing about other people’s experiences regardless, and as a developer, I’d like to try and recreate some of the magic of that era!
