What’s one tip you would give to someone starting out?
- Persistence & Consistency are undervalued but is what makes the success of your business. Daily positive actions create big long term results. All it takes is you do your job everyday & never lose focus. Obsess about your business, art etc. Learn about it, execute it.
- When workload is overwhelming – execute the tasks on your plate fast, hard & relentlessly – don’t let it pile up & bog you down. Get it out of your brain, & off your plate fast. so you can focus on the things that matter most.
- Don’t get stuck “in” results – it’s about doing your best today & executing gains today not about results checking or about the accomplishments you did in the past.
- Get aggressive in your craft & business. Don’t be afraid to promote your stuff!
How do you promote your work (games or assets)?
- When you release (game or asset) be sure to create supporting assets to help the release (videos, GFX, demos, content ) – you wouldn’t send 1 soldier into battle & expect the soldier to win the war. Send multiple supporting elements/sequences to support the release.
- Create as many backlinks as you can. (Youtube, blog, micro influencer, social, web) – Paying for attention or ads is good but build a base/flow of organic traffic.
What project are you working on now?
Game Breakables, Game Footsteps, English Henchman Voice Pack, Epic Nature Loops 2, Metroidvania Game, Game & Film Logo Transition & Humanoid Creatures.
