I know this might be a bit unusual request and if I am in the wrong forum, just tell me and delete this thread but my progressive rock/metal band Doorway Effect is looking for some help to do a music video.
Since we are all big gamers we want to create a lyric video in the style of games like Limbo, The Wait or Closure. For this we would need someone that could create us a single scene in a dark forest. Like the named games, the scene would be mainly black and white, with some red highlights. Included in the scene would be a big tree where there is an apple and a person hanging, as well as an animated kid that should try to reach the apple by jumping, using a stick or throwing some stones at it. An animated grown up person should try to get the person hanging from the tree. Maybe some wind can move the tree or some particles may fly through the screen. The characters don’t have to be too detailed, they can be silhouettes or simplistic like in the mentioned games.
And that’s basically it, in the background the lyrics should appear and disappear. So in the end it’s more like a dark 2D-cutscene without a game 😀
The song is 4:30 minutes long and I would of course give you a worked out script for the song. The song can be found on soundcloud (https://soundcloud.com/doorway-effect).

Is this something that can be done? Who would be willing to assist us?

We will of course pay for your help, but since we have no label or sponsor, we cannot pay you a fortune :/
You could keep the assets/scenes/characters that you create, sell them here on gamedevmarket or do whatever you like with it, we don’t care 🙂
