Can we get a better and more functional editor for submitting assets?

As the title says, I find the text editor we currently have for writing our asset descriptions to be lacking, glitchy, and barebones. Allowing Youtube embeds is a fantastic step forwards, but meanwhile we still don’t have the ability to embed images in our descriptions. Customers have to go out of their way to click “Show sample images” in order to see screenshots or previews. People are way more likely to buy something that they can see… Why not show the screenshot thumbnails vertically along the side of the page, so they don’t have to click a button? Or have the sample images area pre-expanded? What’s the point of the button? Aside from images, the text editor doesn’t even support text alignment or headers. Sometimes when you make a link out of bold or italicized text, it loses the bold or italics. And when you use shift + left arrow or shift + right arrow to select text in the editor to select text manually, it glitches out and fails to select anything. Compare one of my assets on itch.io versus the same asset on Gamedev Market. Itch.io version: https://untiedgames.itch.io/super-pixel-cave-tileset GDM version: https://www.gamedevmarket.net/asset/super-pixel-cave-9858/ The itch.io version has:
The GDM version has, by comparison:
Which one do you think I’ve had more sales from? Sorry for the rant, just a little frustrated with the editor and its limitations after using itch.io quite a bit more lately. I think GDM would do well to at least offer a little more functionality in terms of prominently displaying screenshots and allowing images in the description. |

Your writing very well and provide a lot of useful information. But if you tap water more than half as compared to another article, I would definitely be great |

Ah, well, I thought you were talking about another kind of editors, because I’m working with grade miners writing service now and I’m in love with their writers, but have no idea whether they have editors or no. The essays they wrote to me were always perfect, so I’ve never asked about the editors, just knew the writers were really professional. But I suppose if you would need any help with writing and editing texts and stuff, they’ll do their best. |
