A collection of low poly ancient/medieval shield models with a few different design options. 3d view Shield types include:

• buckler
• heater (curved and flat versions)
• hoplon (metal plated and non-metal versions)
• kite (curved and flat versions)
• oval center grip (aka Gallic shield)
• pavise
• rotella
• round center grip (aka Viking shield)
• scutum (oval and rectangular versions)
• targe

All models are in fbx format. Textures are in 2K resolution and include a diffuse (ie. colour) texture for every design option of each model, a metallic texture for each model (which controls the metallic and/or glossiness), and a normal map for each model. Each model also comes with a blank/white diffuse texture which is meant to serve as a template for creating your own custom designs and colour schemes. To do so, simply open the blank diffuse texture of the desired shield model in your image editing software of choice (Photoshop, GIMP, etc.). Then create a new layer above the diffuse texture layer and set the new layer's mode to multiply. This will allow you to paint on the new layer while still allowing the details of the diffuse texture to show through. Simply paint your desired design onto the new layer, then export the image as a png and use that as the diffuse texture for the shield model.
